Sunset Beach Resort - Taling Ngam Beach

The staff was very friendly and always helpful.You felt pampered the whole time.The Thai food in the hotel was delicious.Pool was very nice,and the hotel was right at the beach.Housekeeping came twice a day to make up the room again.Overall, brilliant hotel with good service!

The Jacuzzi in the room took very long to fill up and then the water wasn't hot enough unfortunately,since the big Jacuzzi is one of the main features of the room.The sauna area,which was complementary for hotel guests,had to be booked nevertheless so you couldn't just go whenever you wanted but had to wait 15 to 30 minutes until it was ready.But then you had it for yourself.If you want to relax and not leave the hotel the location is perfect.Otherwise,you have to calculate 45 minutes to Chaweng Beach by car.There is nothing around but forest.

The private pool in the beach front villa and the daily complimentary fresh fruit. The food from the hotel restaurant was excellent. The fresh juices at breakfast were really great. The manager was very customer friendly, going around to talk to all the guests.

The surrounding area was not really nice. The hotel is very far from any area with shops/restaurants and the hotel doesn't offer a shuttle. The food portions were quite small.

The complimentary use of facilities such as Booked.net, mountain bike. However I find that the beaches in Koh Samui is nothing compared to Pulau Redang in Malaysia.

Location. Good for people who likes secluded and quiet place. Away from the main happening belt.

It was the last part of my trip in Thailand before I come back home and for me it was the best way of relaxing in a beautiful place. The staff was very kind and you are spoil all the time, with fruits, room service, etc. We had free Booked.net and bikes which were very nice. The view of the sunset through the window of our room was gourgeous. The breakfast was the best ever in Thailand with fresh juice and others. The pool, the sauna, the spa, the jacuzzi, the manager of the restaurant, everything was great.

The food of the restaurant is delicious, but the portions are too small. Although some people said there were not options of restaurants near the place, that´s not true, you hace one ina walking distance and others ina motobike distance. The matress could be better. And that´s it. The rest is great! Oh, and to go there from the airport you can take a minivan for 600 baht pre couple.

Restaurang food to small portion, poor flavors and way to long waiting. It seems the restaurang try to be more fine dining instead of focus more on traditional thai cooking.

The staff were fantastic.The general manager even carried our bags to our room.The food was fabulous and very reasonable. The facilities were faultless.Really enjoyed our stay here and were very relaxed.

The food was not good and it was weird because there was no privacy for the toilet in the room. There was a sliding door but you were still exposed to the bedroom. The only disappointing parts of an otherwise great hotel.

Spa treatments are expensive for Thailand standards.

Fantastic place to stay! Hotel Manager took time out to come and introduce himself and welcome us. Great rooms, very clean. Staff so helpful and friendly. Great food in the restaurant. A little overpriced for Thailand, but great! It is isolated from any nightlife, but if you want peace & quiet, then this is perfect for you. i would stay there again.

The location is great if you want to stay away from the frequented areas of the island. The hotel is ideal for those who do not want to explore anything just stay at the hotel/beach or purchase daily tours sold by them.

We made the booking 40 days before the arrival and requested an upper floor room and we got one on the ground floor. Based upon the guest reviews I felt I was in a different place. If you spend a few weeks/months in Thailand you can feel the difference between the "real" and the "unreal" smile on the faces. Part of the staff belong to the second category. The hotel services are very expensive compared to the local prices. You have to rent a scooter/car to even leave the resort. I think Ban Sabai is a "wannabe" five-star hotel, where I felt, their only goal was to keep the guest in their territory and have you spend all you money in the hotel. In a “real” five-star hotel, you do not feel it, you just spend your money, and like to spend it.

Staying in this hotel is an amazing experience that we highly recommend! The place is great, small paradise, the staff is so caring about every details to make your stay the best, the thai food cooked in the restaurant is really good, the beach has something very natural and far from the touristic places! We stayed in 4 different hotels during our stay in Thailand and Ban Sabai Sunset Beach is definitely the best one!!!
